Pump Inertia Bases
Models: BMK, MSL, WFSL, MC, GSSL, WFC
Vibration isolation manufacturer shall furnish integral structural steel bases. Rectangular bases are preferred for all equipment. Centrifugal refrigeration machines and pump bases may be T or L shaped. Pump bases for split case pumps shall be large enough to support suction and discharge elbows. All perimeter members shall be steel beams with a minimum depth equal to 1/10 of the longest dimension of the base. Base depth need not exceed 14”(350mm) provided that the deflection and misalignment is kept within acceptable limits as determined by the manufacturer. Height saving brackets shall be employed in all mounting locations to provide a base clearance of 1” (25mm). Bases shall be type bmk as manufactured by Mason Industries, Inc.

Curbs & Rails
Models: RND, RSL, RC, ICS'
Type RND rails are structural steel channels furnished with double deflection neoprene mountings bolted to the web. All metal mounting parts are neoprene covered to avoid corrosion and provide a bottom friction surface. They need not be bolted to the floor but bolt holes are provided for those areas where bolting down is specified. RND rails are used to extend equipment bases, eliminating over-hand and improving weight distribution on the mountings as in the case of close coupled pumps or utility sets. They may also be used to reinforce bases that require supplementary stiffening between mounting locations.
